His passion for beauty and art probably began in his family, from his maternal grandfather and uncles who were creative and capable of good craftsmanship. He immediately tried his hand at a wide variety of materials while studying at the Salesian boarding school. With high school, the need for a space of his own took over; in the 1970s he joined “Studio 4” in Via Marconi in Conegliano.

Contact with artists enriched and stimulated him; in ’72 he received an award at “Le Cave” Gallery in Treviso, gasoline that fueled his inner fire and gave him certainty. After finishing high school, during a trip to Paris, it was ’74, he discovered the Lettrist movement and saw the first hyperrealist works; he met several artists. The encounter that will fascinate him and at the same time make him reflect will be in Port Lligat with Salvador Dali.

In ’76 in Venice he approaches engraving, it will be a great love that will grow over the years and continue to feed. In the same year he met and frequented Stepan Zavrel, an artist and illustrator living in Rugolo, from whom he was stimulated to illustrate children’s books. He began frequenting book fairs: Bologna (where he exhibited at the illustrators’ show) and Frankfurt, where he met engravers who would begin to mark his later choices.

In Vittorio Veneto, since 1987 he has been a teacher of Applied Printmaking at L’Istituto d’Arte, which became, later, Liceo Artistico “Bruno Munari” and in which he continued to teach graphic and pictorial disciplines, until 2018.
